When the car parked, a heavy stone settled on my chest. Reality struck, and once more, I sought solace in Harin’s hands, which gripped mine tightly.
We walked together through the venue and greeted the staff member who would guide us to the room reserved for the short funeral that would be held for my best friend.
The priest arrived a few minutes later. There weren’t many people there. Just us, three of his coworkers, and the building’s doorman where he lived.
