I followed still sleepy through the house and turned on the coffee maker, grabbing my phone to call the pediatric clinic.

It didn’t take long to actually get an appointment, and I even managed to request discretion, as I wasn’t in the mood to take photos or give autographs, nor to appear on some gossip site with a picture of me and my family, as if being seen with them was so surreal that it deserved news.
