POV: Harin
Jaewon smiled softly, too. We walked through the kitchen, heading out the back door directly to the backyard. It was a large area, with many flowers, grass, and trees. It might have been bigger than the house itself, considering the pool area and, at the back, almost at the limits, a small lake where I hadn’t had the courage to go because the water was too dark to see what was at the bottom.
Still, I sighed, feeling the grass under my bare feet and shivered in the cold, walking alongside him.
“Thank you for letting me stay with the kids,” I heard him say.
I chuckled softly, shaking my head as we stopped in front of the pool. The thin layer of steam rising indicated that the water might be warm.
“You don’t have to thank me for that,” I said, sitting on the edge, daring to dip my feet into the heated water. It was at a pleasant temperature. “You’re their father too, Jaewon.”
