Aria’s POV

The massive black wolf stood in the center of the room, its body was shaking with violent rage.

Shadows danced over his fur like living smoke, writhing and twisting erratically. His eyes weren’t the familiar crimson of Fenrir. No. They were that terrifying red-black swirl, and as usual, those eyes didn’t know me.

They didn’t know anyone.

All they wanted was destruction.

Hunter and Shawn were there, both of them were battered and panting heavily. Hunter had a gash across his arm, and there was blood soaking through his sleeve, while Shawn’s shirt was shredded, with shallow claw marks on his chest.

They stood a few feet away, tense, circling him like they were trying to keep a wild bomb from detonating.
