Walking back to my room became a daunting task. As the news had spread, the pointing fingers and sneering looks were worse this time.

I could hear the whispers of ‘whore’ left and right. A few female pack members had asked me the same question that Claire had asked me with fake smiles and laughs.

I understood why they thought that way. There was no other reason that the Alpha King would want me, if not to be his whore. It made sense in their eyes, but it still hurt because it wasn't true. I didn't want them to get to me, but it was impossible.
