Aria's POV

Knox crossed his arms and stared at me with a small frown. “Why this? Why now?”

I shrugged. “Because I want to be useful,” I replied. “I don’t want to hang around in the pack uselessly, and be seen as someone who only carries a title.”

Knox’s eyes softened, and he sighed.

“Aria, no one thinks that. But if this is what you want, I won’t stop you.”

“Thank you,” I replied softly. I was really grateful for his support and appreciation.

Knox grabbed his jacket. “I will walk you there. I want to make sure that they know that they should take care of you.”

At Knox's words, I paused with a small wince.

“Well…” I started, and Knox also paused, lifting an eyebrow at me in question.
