Aria's POV

Knox's head turned weakly toward me, and his gray eyes met mine.

“What…what are you doing here?” He queried, still breathing heavily.

“I…I…” I stammered, forgetting what had brought me here.

Knox pushed himself up, groaning as he stood up. “What are you doing here, Aria?” He asked with a frown.

My face flushed slightly when I noticed that he was completely naked, and I gulped.

“I—”

“Do you know how dangerous it is for you to be here?” He scolded, and his eyes darkened.

“You could have gotten hurt or worse!” He snapped.

‘Here he goes again.’ The voice whispered in my head. ‘Trying to make you look like you can't do anything on your own.’
