Aria’s POV

“My mate was Liam Reed, and he pleaded with me to keep it hidden because his parents would not approve.” I said with a bitter smile.

Mama Felz snorted, but thankfully she didn’t say anything. Instead, she took a swig of the moon-fire whiskey.

“He promised that when the time was right, he would reveal us as mates.”

She snorted again, but this time she didn’t stay silent. “What a stinking load of wolf-piss! Only a fucking idiot would fall for that shit!”

I pursed my lips at her indirect insult.

“So tell me, did you reject him? Is that why his fake mate is spreading all these fucking lies about you?” She asked with an eager smirk on her face.
