Chapter 19. Mischievous Claims

Being alone in my room allowed me some vulnerability, one that I wouldn't allow even the closest person around me to see. As I sank onto my bed with my hands and legs sprawled out, I felt a sense of physical ease as my day was filled with activities that drained me.
I made sure that the Gray sea pack had enough food disbursed to them and that they were performing their duties well.
My door pushed open, loud footsteps intruding into my private space. A sneer formed in my face as Amma veered towards me, her eyes shimmering with disgust.
"You must have lost your manners, Amma. Have you forgotten the rules?" I seethed and watched her halt in her steps, her finger balling into fists.
