Chapter 40. Don't Call Me Alpha

We finally managed to get home without being caught, but it was a serious hassle because they almost saw our faces, especially mine.

"Are you hungry?" She asked as I nodded, panting heavily as I dragged my feet towards our room. "I'll go and get something for us." She finished and stalked out of my sight while I remained in the facade, taking some air in.

As I raked my hands through my hair in exhaustion, the sounds of footsteps coming towards me jolted me from my moment of relaxation. I trained my eyes on who the steps belonged to, and I discovered that it was Calypso hurrying towards the Alpha's room.

My heart clenched in fear as I thought of several reasons for Calypso's presence here. Remembering that Alpha Rolan could be having another attack so I followed him, without minding that it was against the rules.

"Where the hell are you heading to?" I heard from behind me as I followed Calypso.
