Chapter 43. Meeting Sheila

"You're a witch?" I gasped, sitting up suddenly as well, with my eyes bulging out to the extent I thought it would fall off.
Then she did the unexpected and burst into laughter, flinging her hands into
the air as her body quaked with mockery. Then, I realized that she was merely pulling my legs.
She flung her hands at me in a fit, and I swatted it, having no choice but to join her in laughing.
"I... I can't be a witch." She stuttered amidst her laughter and I rolled my eyes, then went back to bed.
"Just go to bed." I chuckled and shut my eyes, happy that I had someone who could turn a tense atmosphere into a lighter one without anyone noticing.
I stirred on the bed briefly, and when I couldn't hear her voice anymore, I allowed the sleep that lay heavily on my eyelids to claim me.
