Chapter 52. A Test

"Dolph?" Surprise slashed through my chest as I dropped down on the bed, anger surging so wildly through me that I felt like beating up someone.

I'd always known Dolph to be ambitious and greedy, but I didn't expect him to go that far. He knew how hard it was for me to escape from Alpha Alwin's dungeon yet, he wanted to take my life?

"Are you sure he's the one?" I asked, my ears itching to hear a different name.

We were always at loggerhead because he thought I wasn't fit to be Alpha of Layon pack but since he couldn't get my position he remained bitter.

"He's the one." She affirmed then cleared her throat. "There's something else you need to know and I hope you aren't angry that I haven't said anything about it." She added and my heart leaped, my fist gripping the edge of my sheets so tightly that it ripped apart.
