Chapter 81. His Confession

"You don't own me!" I reiterated loudly as soon as we got to an empty room. "You never will." I added and he scoffed, arousing my anger further.
He paced around the room, taking off the longer robe that covered his shirt. It looked dirty and worn out. "Do you really mean that?"
"Did you walk all the way here?"
He glanced at me, gauging my expression, but answering him that way was better than him knowing how I truly felt.
"It's rude to reply to a question with another one. I walked all the way to come and see you because even though it's hard to admit, I missed you."
I felt my heart softening, which was the last thing I wanted. How could he make my anger disappear with just a single word?
It made it look like my days of sulking had been for nothing.
