The Thing POV

He's happy with my suffering... Of course, he would be... He was happy when Hoff tortured me physically, he only did it mentally... So that I didn't care about the details, I ignored it.

I took a deep breath, and he could see the change in my posture, I simply refused to let it affect me any more than it already had. I've learned my lesson, never to hope and never to expect anything but evil from others, not towards me.

My expression has gone from sadness and hurt to nothingness, no, I'm not going to give him or anyone else the pleasure of seeing me cry, of seeing me feel anything other than pure apathy.
