Chapter 12. Missing Him

I was arranging the new books on the shelves when my phone beeped.

Hey baby, just arrived at my office. Miss you already. (Nate)

I was smiling wide and replied to him right away.

Hey you! Miss U too. I'm at Novelty, it's a slow day. Boring. (Marissa)

It was boring, and without him to look forward to at the end of the day, I would be back to my routine. At least I got time to catch up on my romance novels. I had finished arranging the books, so I started reading on my Kindle while waiting in the store.

Then another text came in.

Boring is good. I'll call you tonight baby. Wear something sexy. (Nate)

I replied at that same moment.

Sexy for sure. Boring is not good. I miss u! #pouting (Marissa)

I smile seeing his name calling me.

"Baby, I'll be seeing you tonight, it's just for a couple of days. Stop being a brat, or are you doing this on purpose for your punishment? mmhh?..."
