Another month had passed and work had been keeping us busier than we had ever been. But every now and then my mind drifted back to Jacqueline and nothing had changed. Well, aside from her parents and how we handled her dad and her fiancé. She was no longer in trouble and she'd been reaching out to her mom and started communicating with her again.

"I think I'm falling for her," I confessed my feelings as Percy was fiddling with his fountain pen. We were in his office, dragging our working hours and putting up a difficult front for our new business partner while in reality we were done talking about the takeover of his company and had signed every space needed to be signed in the contract agreement.
