Coming home to a woman sleeping on his couch has never been his dream. But seeing the skinny woman wrapped up in all the fluffy stuff was making him smile.

Matteo had been busy at the club arranging his people to take over his job while he was going to babysit the sole billionaire heiress.

He felt a pinch of pain from his gunshot wound when he decided to lift her and move her to the bedroom. But she wouldn't let him go and snuggled in closer to his body.

"Hold me please, Matteo."

He sighed when she gets his name right, he didn't want her to be reminded of Antonio. She deserves happiness, and he realized that it would be a while until she forgets about her love for Antonio and that was also why he needs to stay away from her.

She needs to heal, he thought. But she always looks so sad and it was making him want to cheer her up. Though he barely knows how, but he thought maybe by staying close he could make sure she has anything she might need.<
