Chapter 26

Amara was still sleeping when Matteo carefully gets off the bed and continue meeting with Paolo.

"Peter please accompany her. I haven't told her, I couldn't. Please don't tell her just yet, okay? let me find the right time to tell her." Matteo let him into their suite while he was joining Paolo on the other side of the door.

Paolo had texted him that they need to work on Antonio's case and that he had told Peter assuming that Matteo had told Amara their preliminary findings, to which he hadn't.

"I think you should just rip the bandage, God...I feel so guilty. I cheered for their relationship." Peter replied to Matteo.

"All in good times, she's such a wreck. She's still sleeping. I will take care of everything, just be with her for now."

"Okay..."

"Peter, thank you."

They parted and Peter locked their door while he could see two guards, one was standing in front of her door, and the other one was at the end of the hallway.
