"What's in Paris? we don't even have a business partner there." He asked his Don, but having a terrible feeling that this was all about Amara.

"I have ears Matteo, and I need my right-hand man at his best. And lately, you've been leaving too many dead bodies behind. You need to unwind, you're dealing with your issues, Paolo will go with you and make sure you get it taken care of before you go home."

"Leo," he was about to object when Leonardo interrupted his words.

"Matteo, I'm your Don. You will do as you're told. Besides Amber has been on my ass on this one, so you will do this. Or she'll be coming for you."

Matteo was silent and cursed on the inside then keep on listening to his Don when he said that he had his jet waiting for him, and Paolo was already waiting for him downstairs to take him there.

Damn him. He cursed some more but did as he was told to, then both men arrived in Paris just before dawn.
