Chapter 5. Peyton

I woke up the next day with a headache and it gets worse when there was a loud banging on my door.

"Yes!" I was cursing the whole way to the door and was surprised to see Shannon all teary and bruised.

"What happened?! who the fuck did this to you?!"

She was trembling in my arms, I hated to see her like that but she has always been addicted to bad men. My guess was last night she went to her ex and he treated her like he had always been.

"Andrew, can I stay here? I'm scared."

"Shay baby, I told you not to play with fire."

She looked at me confirming my suspicion, then she was in my arms like a lost puppy. I kissed her hair and rubbed her back carefully not knowing if she was hurt anywhere else.

"Come on you should rest, and let me take a look at your wound."

I ushered her to my bed and she rests while I get the first aid and tend to her wound. I left her to go to campus and actually deal with her ex.
