Chapter 37. Trusting & Epilogue
She was finally out of the ER, she had been stabilized. Miraculously she only had a hairline fracture on her shin, though she bumped her head pretty hard, all her scans came back negative. But she would be staying at the hospital, for another day or two for observation.
"Dr. Hayes, she is stable and we managed an ultrasound and get the heartbeat of the baby, looks like she's at week six. I've adjusted her medication with her pregnancy and given her Prenatal vitamins. But I suggest that she go get checked out by her OB and schedule another ultrasound next week, hopefully, we can hear the heartbeat more clearly by week seven..." the attending doctor kept on explaining her condition to me, but I didn't even get her name my mind was elsewhere. I heard what I needed to hear, that she was good and that the baby was also good.
