"Hey, Mom, I heard you wanted to talk to me," I greeted as I took a seat next to her. I noticed the serious look on her face, which immediately put me on edge.
"Yes, I did, and what I need to tell you, son, is quite important, though you might not like it," she replied nervously, her tone adding to my growing sense of unease.
"You're making me anxious, Mom. What's going on?" I asked with genuine concern, and she let out a sigh.
"As you may have noticed, the expenses for the upcoming collection, particularly the fabrics, have strained our finances significantly," she began, and I interrupted.
"What's the issue, Mom? Just get to the point," I urged, impatient now, noticing the stress lines on her forehead deepening and the fatigue in her eyes.
