Felicity's POV 

I wiped my tears, looking at him, I tried to comport myself, I looked at him,

I took a deep breath, unsure how much to reveal. "Well, your father and I used to be together, but we didn't work out. We're trying to be friends now, but it's not always easy."

Austin's face scrunched up in thought. "So, he's not a bad person?"

I smiled, feeling a sense of relief. "No, baby, he's not a bad person. He's your father, and he loves you very much."

Just then, Isklander's voice came from downstairs. "Felicity, dinner is ready!"

I stood up, carrying Austin with me. "Let's go downstairs, baby. We can talk more about this later, okay?"

As we walked downstairs, I couldn't help but feel grateful for Isklander's support. Maybe, just maybe, we could work through our issues and become better partners for each other and for Austin.
