Chapter 86

“Sarah what do you mean by ‘try to turn you against your family’? Did Joseph tell you to say those words to me?” My uncle asked with concern that I suspected it was a pretense.

“Yes dear uncle. This man is a monster, he treated me so badly. He made me do so many bad things to my own family. I-i…”

 Sarah fell down to her knees and began to sob uncontrollably.

“I did not ask you to do a thing Sarah. Stop with the lies.” Joseph said angrily. He was now seated on my bed and I could feel him shaking. I could also sense that my uncle was not very pleased with how close Joseph was to me but was just being focused on Sarah for now.

“You are no longer going to scare me into silence, I am going to say the truth and nothing but the truth. I won't let you hurt me anymore.” Sarah cried. She was already sobbing so hard that real tears had begun to fall from her eyes. Veins shot out of her forehead because of the amount of effort she was putting into crying.
