I dashed to my room, slipping into dark clothing to seamlessly blend with the night if necessary. I tossed my hair into a chaotic bun, mimicking the style that Xavier often sported, and covered my head with one of his numerous black beanies. I refused to let anyone recognize me with my platinum blonde hair, a characteristic that had always set me apart from others, save for my mother, who shared that same striking hue.
