They were embracing in bed like a real couple, but nobody had the courage to break the silence first.

A few moments later, Richard made preparations to speak by opening his mouth. “Aubrey…” he started.

“Yes?” All of a sudden, she couldn’t think of anything to say and became extremely nervous.

He stated that it was something that should not be repeated, and she agreed with him. After giving it some thought, he came to the conclusion that the reason he and Aubrey went through what they did was not because they loved each other. In reality, it was more about sating their sexual appetites and requirements. It just didn’t sit well with me. It is unacceptable that it should take place again.

“If you won’t agree to marry me in the near future, then we better not do it again,” he repeated.
