Chapter 99

Aubrey had reached her limit when it came to his immature behavior. For Pete’s sake, he was already old!  Why did he choose to ignore what she has to say? It was for his own benefit, after all! After getting out of bed, she went to her closet and started packing her belongings there.

“I am leaving,” she announced.

Richard stood up, took a few items of clothing out of her backpack, and then replaced it in the appropriate location in the closet “What gives you the right to be so stubborn?”

“Why is it that you can’t just give me some space? I cheated on my husband…with you, Richard. Do you realize how much I suffer as a result of our twisted relationship? Do you realize how difficult it is to have a guilty conscience? I cheated on my husband with you!” It is pointless to try to be clever around Richard because the man acted on his emotions, and Aubrey felt that in order for them to reach an agreement, she needed to level up to him.
