For the next two weeks, since Ziad and the others said the reinforcements were coming, they lived with their hearts suspended. 

Anxiety and expectation took over the spirits of the people who were aware that they would have reinforcements. Unfortunately, this was not the only present feeling; the reality that war was imminent also kept the nerves of all in the heights. 

But when no stranger, other than a refugee or someone from other kingdoms, asking for audiences with the king, the hope of everyone seemed to decrease a little more.
