Chapter 42. Past vs. Present

Isabella woke in a hospital bed thinking she was alone. She was about to go mad when she suddenly saw a figure around the corner sleeping soundly.

A smile broke out on her cherry-chapped lips thinking she had won the game. She went down to her bed to wake him up.

“Tyler, babe?” she even whispered to his ears thinking it was nice and sweet.

But the man just got even more annoyed when she disturbed his sleep. As he opened his eyes, she saw an energetic Isabella again.

“You’re awake now, and you look better now,” he said nonchalantly.

The woman giggled and was so happy to see him. She even clung to her arms with an IV drip over him, “Yes, I feel better. I thought you were going to leave me alone. I was happy when I saw you.”

The woman may not seem to be getting Tyler’s demeanor. So he wanted to make it clear once and for all. She held the woman and distanced her body from him. He looked her in the eye and said what was really on his mind.
