“The game’s simple. Make it across alive, and Bianca goes free. Step on the wrong tile, and it will blow away and you’re finished,” Blake said with a dark chuckle. “That blast you just saw? It's just a sample, the smallest charge, barely scratched the bridge. The rest will be fatal.”
As the smoke cleared, a jagged hole marked the bridge’s entrance.
Bianca froze as the blasts shook the bridge, panic clawing at her chest. She had never imagined it would come to this. The thought of Dave dying for her, she would rather give up her own life.
Tears streamed down her face as she screamed, her voice breaking. “Dave, stay back!”
