There was nothing more overwhelming than hearing her talk. It blew his senses away in a way that was all new.
He wasn’t sure if he would ever get used to her soft voice or the way she whispered his name with an accent thinker than anyone in the house.
“Nice to see you all fine, Ana,” Davin spoke up while walking out of the room with the others.
“Thank you,” she said, now facing Marco; being left alone with him felt comfortable but also made her suddenly shy.
The way he looked at her had changed from what she remembered. It felt like she was his most valuable treasure in the whole world.
It made her blood race like the cold waters of the night.
Now that they were finally alone, she wondered what next he was about to say or do.
She had taken a bullet for him, but what if that just kind of made him angry, and he was going to throw her out after screaming at her?
She felt him move beside her and shifte
