Chapter 43
Damian was in the car and the chauffeur drove silently through the countryside. He had taken a detour to clear his head. Today was the worst day for him. He reached his private family garden and opened the gate. A walk would clear his head a little bit. He walked among the roses and chrysanthemums thinking about what exactly he did wrong today. He could think of nothing. He didn't believe in Karma or stuff like that. He was a firm believer that he controlled what happened in his world so he made every decision count. Soon thoughts of Lilian flooded his mind. Was she okay? Not that he cared of course. Or did her? He shook his head but he could still see her deep blue eyes etched in his mind, staring at him. He stopped walking and lingered among the roses. Their beautiful scent filled the air and bumble-bees buzzed happily in and out of them, collecting their pollen and sweet nectar.
