Chapter 48

Damian was up later than usual. His dreams were plagued with images of Lilian. In some, she was sexy and inviting and in others she was siren-like: inviting and sweet but seeking to drown him. He couldn't let it happen to him. He got ready for work as fast as he could to make up for lost time. He had to skip breakfast and headed to the car. He zoomed out of the compound and headed to the office. He had nothing particularly important happening but he had to keep his mind occupied. Soon he was at work. The business of the office filled him with renewed work energy. It was time to make money. He headed to his office and sat down in his chair. He brought out his laptop and almost immediately, Adam came in with some documents.

"Good morning Sir. Mr. Jackson and Mr. Torres have signed the paperwork."

"Good. I'll call them and make the transfer. Thank you, Adam."

Adam raised a suspicious eyebrow and handed the papers to Damian and left the office very confused.
