Chapter 69

Lilian wasn't sure how long she had slept but she soon heard a knock on her door.

"Who is it?"

"Miss Mendez?"

She sighed. It was a maid. She got up from the bed and headed to the door. She opened it and the maid gave her a transparent package with the party dress in it. "Mr. Richards asked me to steam iron this in preparation for the party tomorrow."

"Thank you."

She took the dress and the maid took her leave. She had almost forgotten that she had left her clothes in the bag alongside Damian's in his room.

She didn't want to rumple the dress and left it in its transparent covering. She would take it out when it was time for her to change. She looked at herself in the mirror and her hair needed a trim. It was frizzy in some places. As she picked up her scissors, she heard another knock at the door.
