Chapter 94

“What’s the matter now? She already did it.” Grace tried to pull the blanket away from Adam but the grip tightened. She didn’t want to be vulnerable in front of this man but why did the situation make her worse?

“I’m sorry, I… I didn’t expect her to find the truth. I…” Adam choked on each word.

Grace’s eyes pooled with tears. She tugged her lower lip between her teeth and inhaled deeply. “It’s not your fault,” she stated firmly, tired.

“It is.” Again, he extended his hands to touch her cheeks but he stopped midway, hand twitching, feeling her pain.

He stepped away from her and gushed out of the room, anger plastered over his face. As soon as he arrived in the hall, the few maids present there were confused. “Who told my mother about the things happening in my house?” he yelled, getting everyone’s attention. The whole batch of servants came to the hall and stood in front of their master.

A rustling sound came to a halt when Adam glanced at them silently.
