"Rachel is not a murderer," I said coldly and the man immediately nodded.
"Yes, she... She isn't." He agreed and I rolled my eyes.
He was not even trying to save face at all in front of me. It was disgusting.
"If she's not guilty then why is she in your station?" I asked after a while putting the man in a tight spot.
The robust man began to sweat around his neck and on his forehead as he gulped looking everywhere but at my face.
"Do... Do you want to have her released? I can arrange for that right away, but it's just that... Em, the family of the late girl is not going to easily back down on this case."
Of course, they were not; it was their daughter we were talking about.
It would be every parent's reaction to want to get justice for their children, but to me, Lana doesn't deserve it. But if freeing Rachel from prison meant getting justice for Lana, well, so be it then.
