Chapter 84. I Hope So Too

Rachel's POV

After crying in Kyle's hands for what seemed like hours, I pulled away, cleaning my tears with the back of my hands.

"I must look like a mess right now."I joked with a soft giggle. I had been crying for a long time, my eyes felt tired and heavy...They must be so puffy right now.

And my hair, I must really look like a mess.

Kyle stared at me seriously shaking his head. "You still look as beautiful as ever." He said seriously and I felt the change of atmosphere. I playfully hit his hand allowing myself the leisure of laughing.

"This is not funny," I said with a smile.

"I wasn't laughing," Kyle replied his voice as serious as ever.

My smile stiffened and I looked away.

If only I could reciprocate his feelings. He had always looked at me like that since high school, but my heart was with David then, and now it was with Ethan... Even though the guy has just practically thrown it to the floor and stamped on it.
