Sienna’s POV

I stood outside stunned and ashamed to speak, my fear was actually actualized. I knew what we had was too good to be true, he definitely was having another woman issue, that was why he left me. But I deserved better excuse than an emergency.

“Hello!” The girl said to me, bringing me out of my thoughts that were clouding my judgment that instant.

“I…think I got the wrong house,” I stuttered but tried to keep my voice steady.

“This is the only house blocks away, so, it is very hard to miss,” she said. Her eyes judging and suspicious.

I smirked to hide the nervousness I felt, “Sorry, my bad.” My hand trembled under my bag, but I tried to hide it. “I am here for Daniel Walter.”

She sucked her teeth, still not convinced about what my motives were. “Why are you looking for Daniel?”

“I have a project to discuss with him,” I replied.

“Dressed like that?” Her eyes raked over me like I was under inspection.

I had put on
