Murat released his hand from my arm and stared at me with a defeated look on his face.
“I was not born with a golden platter like you. You do not have to worry about bills, utilities, medicals, etc. I can bet you just have to command and things are at your feet, but I have to struggle for them, even the basic things, basic necessities of life.”
He stood there quietly, deep in his thoughts.
“Good night, Murat, we will talk later.”
She did not give him a chance to say anything as she unlocked the door and walked in. She waited for a few minutes before walking to the window beside the door and peeking outside through the curtains. There was no one near his car, which meant he was still standing outside the door.
After a few more minutes, Selina saw him walking—or, more accurately, strolling—towards his car. He sighed before stepping inside and driving away.
