Selina scoffed. “Then please enlighten me about the other ways, Ayleen. Should I go to the court and explain to them the whole situation? Yeah, because they will be willing to open a year-old case with no witness ever so far, all the evidence removed, and officers probably bribed shut!” Selina muttered with clenched jaws, her chest falling up and down rapidly, her eyes getting darker to such a point that it made Ayleen scared a bit.
Ayleen felt speechless for seconds. Was what she said right? Legally, she could never win over Murat Khan; that man was way more devilish than the devil itself.
“Everything is fair in love and war, Ayleen, everything! And this is a war against the Khans that I will win either by hook or by crook! Alone!” Selina avowed.
For a split second, Ayleen wanted to say something, almost wanted to win over this argument but her shoulders sagged knowing that Selina wasn’t all wrong.
