Chapter 57. Mad at Her

Aidan and I hurriedly made the trip to the children’s hospital, and even after he assured me multiple times that Nadia wasn’t hurt, I still couldn’t find it in me to let my worries go. My blood was still so charged with adrenaline that I didn’t even feel the pain from the gash on my hand even though it was still bleeding.
Immediately we crossed the double glass doors of the hospital, I sprinted down the hallway, looking for the first person I could find who would show me where my daughter was.
The place was dead quiet, and it sounded like only a handful of people were in the building, which was understandable because it was already past eleven PM, and no one wanted to run into what was lurking out there.
I sighted an elderly nurse, and I ran up to her.
“Hi, I’m sorry, but I need to see my daughter, Nadia Moon. The hospital called and said that they had her. Can you please take me to her,” I begged, fighting to keep the tears
