"Um, Wilhelm, have you seen Toreh?" Wilhelm laced up his boots before turning to his cousin. "Yes."
"Do you know where she is? I went to the bathroom, and she just disappeared. I’ve been looking for her ever since."
"She went home, lad. Maybe she was tired of seeing your face and respectfully took her leave," Wilhelm murmured.
"She would have at least said goodbye," muttered Eloive.
"She would," Wilhelm agreed.
"Where are you going?"
"Out. I thought it was that obvious."
"You’re going to her home, are you not?" Wilhelm sighed and straightened. "Eloive, you’re not coming with me."
"But I need to see her."
"Well, if she wanted to see you, she would have stayed back, would she not?" Wilhelm asked. "Look, Eloive, aren’t you supposed to be keeping your distance? You wouldn’t want the queen to find out about the truth, would you?"
