Third POV

It was D-Day.

Violet was finally going to be buried and laid to rest.

The palace guards had to take Violet's mom to the burial as a hostage on the alpha's order.

It was a funeral home, and they were all dressed in black. The body was already prepared and the wakekeep and vigil service was held the night before, but the alpha and lady didn't attend it so when the citizens saw them coming into the venue, the whole pack shook.

Violet's mom was just by a corner, crying beside her daughter's casket. She was sad and remorseful when she saw the alpha and lady .

They settled down and listened to everything the funeral director had to say, then shortly after everyone came to say their tributes to the late Violet one after the other.

They all wished her well and after everyone was done, it was her mother's turn.
