Riek's POV

He might be trying to say that things are going on well and better than in the Superclaw Pack.

I smile. "I'm bothered how your parents would receive me, don't you think they will….?"

"No," he stops me with a warm touch on my lap. "I'm in control of everything. I know where you're going but if I marry whoever I want, they won't decide for me."

"That's great but no one needs to tell me this, they would be shocked seeing their only son bringing home a girl, something he has never done through high school and college. Right?" He nods his head in agreement. He told me earlier he's the only son of his parents, he has two sisters and one stepsister who are so loving, they would surely love to see me, he told me. I don't have an issue here, so I wish I'd pass the test in his parents' eyes.

Finally, I'm done with my little but delicious meal. "Thanks so much, you're really caring." I give him a perk on the cheek.
