To say that I was angry and annoyed was not going to be an understatement. I was furious with what she had done. I was furious with the game that she was trying to play. But I also knew that taking out that anger was not going to get me anywhere. I knew that if I wanted to end things, I was going to need to be smart.
Evelyn’s words played in my mind and I found myself staring into space for a moment too long before I headed towards the bedroom. The bedroom that Damon and I now shared.
But the moment I stepped inside, I knew something was wrong. Damon wasn’t pacing like he normally did when his mind was racing. He wasn’t on the phone, or barking orders, or lost in a file.
