There was something eerie about silence, something oppressive when it came after days of noise, war, heartbreak, and whispered truths.
It was one of those days when everything just seemed to be against the current. Though if anyone saw it from outside it would seem to look normal and calm. No one would predict or suspect that anything was going on.
Never did I think that I was going to find myself questioning my presence within the office. I wanted to work to sustain myself and my daughter.
