I stepped outside, the chill biting deeper than it had in days. It wasn’t simply cold, it was an unnatural coldness, a sinister darkness hovering at the edge of every shadow. Everything just seemed to be different and no matter how much I tried to stay calm about it, I knew that even the pack members were noticing. And it was not only the pack, it was as if nature itself was telling me that there was something wrong.
I rubbed my hands together, attempting to shake off the strange sensation that crawled up my spine. A sensation that was both cruel and dark, One that I did not understand, One that I knew only appeared when something really bad was going on. Something that defied nature itself.
