There was a collective gasp from the crowd as they watched his public show of affection in the dining room. I must confess that I’m also surprised at his attitude also, why is he treating me this way when he had been so furious with me before he left the room. Did something happen while I was still upstairs, did Alexia say something to him that changed his mind? 

“Or maybe he is faking it,” I thought within me, contemplating different reasons that could make him treat me this nicely.
