“Love?”
I was woken up by the warm, gentle hand caressing my face and the first thing I saw was Edison’s mesmerizing blue eyes staring at my face. The lights are out, and the only thing that makes me able to see Edison’s handsome face is the light of the moon escaping from the open window just behind him. My body remembered the apprehension I had felt before I fell asleep and quickly got up to a sitting position, but Edison had already wrapped his arms around my waist.
“It’s ok, Claire. Everything’s good. There’s nothing to fear here,” he murmured. And so I went down to bed and cuddled with him. I was so sick and exhausted that I didn't notice how much time had passed since we came here to his Uncle's Mansion.
