Chapter 20. I Surrender

I’ve been silent all the way to the carriage, even when Lady Kendra embraced Alpha Edison after he told her that we had to go because I was not feeling well. I was so pleased that I didn’t have to stay in that place full of strangers. What made me more upset was that evil, taunting smile on Kendra's face while she was embraced by the Alpha. I didn’t know what her deal was, but it seemed she was enjoying the contempt she saw on my face.

She was the prettiest in the pack, but that didn't mean she was nice or kind. I didn’t like her. I had this feeling that she was up to no good.
